Purpose:
The position of a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic is essential to the operations at MRS. KLEIN’S KOSHER PICKLE CO®. The purpose of this job description is to ensure that the individual in this role understands the key responsibilities and contributions they make towards maintaining the safety and efficiency of our material handling equipment. This individual will report directly to our Maintenance Supervisor.
The primary responsibility of the Forklift Maintenance Mechanic is to perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. This description serves as a guideline for the essential functions of the position, noting that responsibilities may evolve to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
General Duties:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other heavy equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and tire servicing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying necessary repairs and performing corrective actions promptly.
- Replace and repair electrical components such as batteries, alternators, and starters to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and write in English OR Spanish
- Start time at 6:00 AM
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs.

Pay Frequency: Weekly
Pay Rate: $20 + depending on Experiance
