Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line equipment used for washing, slicing, brining, and packaging pickles.
- Sort and inspect cucumbers to remove defective or spoiled product before processing.
- Load raw materials (cucumbers, brine, jars, lids) onto the production line.
- Ensure proper filling, sealing, and labeling of jars or containers.
- Perform quality checks to verify product appearance, weight, and packaging standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment (gloves, hairnets, etc.).
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Pack finished products into boxes and prepare them for shipping.
- Keep accurate records of production counts, defects, or downtime.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs.
- Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.
- Pay attention to detail while moving at a fast and safe pace.
- Willing to learn to use a vacuum lift.
Schedule: Start time 7:20 AM until the product is complete.
